LWB gives away herbs and flowers at the Ecofete

Gardening is fun, even without your own garden. So that the balcony can become even more of a bed of herbs and flowers, or the windowsill can become a place to plant, Leipziger Wohnungs- und Baugesellschaft mbH (LWB) is inviting people to a major free planting campaign at the Eco-Fête in Clara-Zetkin-Park this Sunday (24 June 2017) for the seventh time.

Every hour on the hour, guests of the largest environmental festival in Central Germany can pot and take small herbs and flower plants with them. Those who later achieve gardening success with their LWB plant at home and document this can win a voucher.

With its eco-fête activities, the LWB is emphasizing its claim to be a sustainable and environmentally friendly company, while at the same time drawing attention to its efforts to promote greenery in its residential areas. Around 700,000 square meters of lawn and over 12,000 trees and shrubs are maintained by the LWB caretaker service alone, and 227 playgrounds are looked after.
Since 2013, more than 3,000 plants have been potted at the LWB stand at the eco-fête, including sunflowers, small trees, balcony plants and herbs.

In addition to the planting campaign, the LWB stand also offers other opportunities to participate and do handicrafts. The creation of grass heads should be a magnet for visitors. The stand will be looked after by trainees of the company.
The Ökofete (24 June 2018 from 12 to 7 p.m. in Clara-Zetkin-Park), the largest environmental festival in Central Germany, is the highlight of the Leipzig Environment Days, which are coordinated by Ökolöwe Umweltbund Leipzig e.V. This year the Ökofete is taking place for the 29th time. The LWF has participated since 2012.
